Speaker Request

To request a member of the National Juneteenth Museum to speak at your next event or conference, please review the guidelines and complete the speaker request form below.

• Requests must be submitted via Staff Request Form no less than 30 days prior to your event

• Requests should be submitted as early as possible.  Requests submitted in advance are more likely to be accepted

• Please allow at least two (2) weeks to receive a response to your request

• NJM does not charge fees for staff appearances. Museum donations or honorariums are welcome and encouraged.

• Staff may not be available to attend event rehearsals, pre/post activities, planning meetings, etc., unless agreed to in advance.

• Organizations should consider having a backup plan in the event talent is unable to attend the event (i.e. illness, emergency, force majeure). 

• Organizations must provide the following finalized information to NJM no less than 21 days before the scheduled event:

• Organization's mission

• Event goal

• NJM staff expectations

• Emcee script, if applicable

• Run of show, if applicable

• Changes to provided material must be promptly provided to staff via email

• If required information is not provided by stated deadlines, NJM reserves the right to withdraw from the event.
