Women's Policy Forum: Monthly Board Meeting

On Wednesday, June 12th, Jarred Howard, National Juneteenth Museum CEO and Visionary, presented at the June Women’s Policy Forum Board Meeting.

Jarred Howard was born and raised in Fort Worth. In fact, he was the last baby born at Dorsey Hospital. He is married with 2 children.

Jarred has a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of North Texas and a Master of Business Administration from Dallas Baptist University.

Prior to becoming the National Juneteenth Museum CEO, Jarred had an impressive career that includes many of our most iconic Fort Worth businesses including Bell Flight, the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, BNSF Railway, and DaimlerChrysler Financial Services.

Jarred volunteers at the Fort Worth Metropolitan Black Chamber of Commerce, YMCA, Jubilee Theatre, North Texas LEAD and is involved in his local church.

We are a group of influential women who have the desire to effect positive change for women and girls with the passion, energy, and commitment to advocate for women and our community.

Vision: Women leaders building a better Tarrant County

Mission: Women’s Policy Forum of Tarrant County is an organization of influential women who investigate and support policies and initiatives that will create positive change for Tarrant County women and our community.

Support: Women’s Policy Forum Foundation raises and distributes funds to support the mission of the Women’s Policy Forum and raise community awareness of issues impacting women and children.

Membership: More than 125 Tarrant County women who are elected officials or who hold staff or volunteer leadership positions in government, business or the nonprofit sector are members.

Purpose:

  • Increase the visibility of women leaders.

  • Foster relationships with those in leadership positions.

  • Assist our local communities, county and state in agenda-building.

Programs and Services:

  • Education and networking opportunities for members

  • Public policy education and civic engagement

  • Research on public sector trends and issues

  • Agenda-building on emerging issues
